November 1, 2025: The Holidays are Upon us!

Happy Holidays will be ringing in our ears very soon! At times, the holidays do feel like a burden upon us. Our challenge this holiday time is to choose events that bring life and abundance to our lives and families. Here are 5 ideas to help enhance your holiday Joy and Cheer!

  1. Choose 1 favorite holiday event or activity to do per week leading up to the end of 2025. So many good things to do and experience during these next weeks. Get a planner out and write out your must-dos, and limit your schedule to one holiday activity per week. In our “don’t get left out” or “avoid missing out” culture, it is early to get caught up. Think about what memories you really want to make and plan for those!https://amzn.to/47BT0kC
  2. Recognize your energy and bandwidth level and plan accordingly for downtimes. Build in times of rest during the holidays. Plan for breaks. Spend time snuggling with your kids. Take a few extra minutes to rest in bed before starting your day. Come home in between outings. Get sleep and eat well!
  3. Plan activities for inside and outside: like baking with your family and driving to check out Christmas lights. Look up for fun activities in your area- holiday lights parade, holiday boutiques, holiday get-togethers.
  4. Decorate early! One year, we put up the Christmas tree before Thanksgiving and named it our “Gratitude Tree”. On Thanksgiving Day, we wrote notes and hung them on our Gratitude tree. I was really a wonderful way to point our hearts and minds back to remind us what and who we are thankful for! The kids enjoyed it, too.
  5. Make meaningful memories: This kind of goes with #1 & #2-Our time is short here. I watched and short reel by Mel Robbins, who said something to the effect that time with our children and families is like an ice cube melting on the counter- it’s melting away as we speak- you step away and more has melted – when you come back, it is smaller and smaller the more time goes by. Be thoughtful about how you use your time, make beautiful memories and enjoy this wonderful time of the year! Merry Christmas! Happy Hannukah! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!
  6. Bonus: Do something for others! Especially if youa re feeling lonely this holiday season, consider baking cookies for your neighbors, bring a Christmas tree to an elderly person in your life, or surprising people with gifts of time!
